I like it, honestly. But I like AOC.

I get why people like her but I think she is going to have a rough road ahead. She doesnt appear to bright. That alone is not a big deal because, lets face it, there are many politicians that arent the sharpest. Biden was one step from the presidency after all. And then there is the Dem from, Georgia?, who thought the island of Guam would literally tip over if too many people were on it.--smh.

But on top of her simple mind, she is totally lacking in any kind of experience. Add to that that fact that her plans/views are so "out there" that they are simply indefensible. A skilled politician/thinker could at least talk about things with a little more believability but she is simply lost. In way over her head. Too much, too soon.

And Im not really criticizing her. In normal times, she woulndt have been thrust into the spotlight and put up on a political pedestal before she was ready.

Good points. It'll be interesting to see how her plans turn out.

While easy to dismiss AOC as the woman who single-handedly killed dumb blonde jokes, it may be a mistake. Her politics suck, but stupid she is not. In high school she came in 2nd in an international science fair, she graduated cum laude from Boston University in international relations and (wait for it...) economics, and she interned under Ted Kennedy for a year. She has the ability to graciously accept a blatant put down as a compliment. And I imagine she will excel at the fundraising mandated by both parties of our congresscritters while they are supposed to be working on our behalf...anywhere from 4 hours daily to 30 hours per week, btw.

Establishment Ds want her gone, and rumor has it they may try redistricting. But she may just prove too valuable. It's too early to tell. When it comes right down to it, she epitomizes the globalist agenda...and the establishment Dems currently heading congress are getting a bit long in the tooth. And there's the fact that she ousted a high-ranking, 10-term Dem. I'm not buying the grassroots miracle BS.

AOC will either be a one-term wonder or the new darling of globalism. Don't let her young and dumb act fool you. She's playing that to the hilt.

See, its the intelligence I dont buy. I never heard about the science fair to be honest. But as for graduating cum laude, I know, I'm sure we all know, well-educated people that we shake our heads at in everyday conversation. I know people with masters degrees (no small educational feat) that are, essentially, fools.

I look at her foolish statements and her inability to understand how to interact with her party members in a meaningful way. Now this could be due to many reasons--it might be arrogance, it might be intentional just to push the envelope, or it might be lack of awareness.

She got an asteroid named after her for coming in second. Sure, I know a lot of people who are book smart but street stupid, but DC is literally overrun with such people.

I doubt she lacks awareness, but she's certainly pushing the envelope. Nevermind the swipe at Trump at the end, this little Q&A in the House Oversight Committee was aimed squarely at some of her colleagues.

Im sorry, I saw a montage of video clips of her. Now, I know it was intended to make her look unintelligent... but there are a lot of very dumb things coming from her. I'm not buying that she is anything above average intelligence. And, in the spotlight, addressing substantive issues, with seemingly little preparation... that just won't cut it.

It's not difficult, she plays right into it, quite intentionally, I do believe. This whole game may backfire on her yet.

I dont know. Is politics an area where "playing dumb" helps? I dont see that. What would be the reasoning. The only thing I can think is to be able to play the victim when "attacked" by Republicans. I guess it could be a ploy.
