We are having an unusually warm summer here in NYC and that's after an unusually cold winter. It should be apparent to most anyone with half a brain that melting ice caps, extraordinarily frequent and devastating wildfires - not only in the US, but across Europe as well - tornados in places they don't usually occur (NJ, Queens, NY), stronger hurricanes, etc. all indicate climate change except in the minds of people who think it's fake news.

They have been to me in the state where I live, since I first returned to it 28 years ago. I've spoken to people all over the world, who have mentioned that as well.

I believe there are a number of factors that have affected our ecosystem. We used to have many streams and rivers where live when I was a kid. Those have all but dried up. Many streams I remember as a kid haven't had water in them in decades. I think a lot is due to how we have failed to properly manage our water supply. The water tables have gone down a lot, due to massive irrigation of land that was never meant to raise certain crops. Water from Colorado is piped to California, etc etc. when Colorado has a water shortage.

They are. About 6 months ago the ground near me was covered, and I mean COVERED in show. About 9 inches deep. It had snowed several times in the previous months as well. Today, it is hot and humid. Oh, and last night... it rained. HARD. There was even lightning. My neighbor told me that in less than 3 months from now, I am going to have to wear a sweatshirt instead of a t-shirt and shorts. Crazy stuff.

yeah, it was winter about half a year ago, had lots of snow, now its hot (global warming) give it about 2 months, and it will start to cool off again (global cooling), and in 3 months we will most likely get snow again where I live,

climate change is NORMAL, if humans where to blame for climate change, the weather would never have gotten to a livable temperature for humans to advance the way we did. there have been era's on earth where co2 was double what it is today or more, real science has concluded that the plants where greener and more lush (not dying like climate change alarmists would have us believe). earth went through ice ages too, earth HAD TO WARM up for us to be where we are now, what polution did the humans cause during the ice age to cause such warming?if climate change is of human doing we would still be in an ice age spear hunting mammoths

Millions of trees have died in California as a result of the droughts and warming temperatures. There are more dead trees here now than in recorded history.

Policies effected in one state aren't going to have any effect on a global climate change.

The biggest polluter in the world is China. Anything done in California won't hold a candle to what China puts into the atmosphere.

climate would still change even if we turned off 100% of things that pollute. we aren;t to blame for climate change, heck real scientists do not know if we are coming out of an ice age or going back into one.

only fear mongering celebrity scientists push man made climate change as if its fact

research chemtrails, put toxic metals and toxic waste in the dirt yeah gonna kill trees, CO2 is not the problem. without co2 everything would be dead including you and me

and the out of ordinary weather we are seeing now, do some research, or don;t your choice, but chemtrails, talk to anyone who flew planes 40 years ago, they will tell you their was no such cloud as the mamatus cloud, ( a cloud formed by chemtrails)(NOT TO BE CONFUSED with contrail, contrails dissipate after a time, chemtrails literally form new clouds).

Spring and fall are nearly existent and we have basically two seasons here; WInter and Summer
We also have droughts in the summer which wer enot normal in the pas and the winters are extrordinarily cold.

The over use of fossil fuels has contributed to this climatic horror. Another thing that I rarely hear pople talk about is "Acid Rain". This is cause by polutants such as the emmissions of automobile and indiustrial emmissions. The biggest reason I know cliamte change by humans is for two reasons. The first is basically that I trust Scientists over some backassed plitician and their so-called expersts who have been funed by the fossil fuel industy. Secondly, as a kid, I remember going to the cemetary with my parents to place flowers on graves.

My brother and I used to run around and read the graves stones of people who were buried in the 1700s & 1800s. It was fascinating and we would simetimes do stone rubbings with big piecs of paper and charcoal. Today, those very same stones are esentionally wiped clean. The names, dates, and images have been dissolved. How an a stone made from granite or marble exist for almot 300 years, then disolve in 20-30 years.? What has happened?

The lies being perpetrated by the right and the conservatives who believe them is so crazy. Why would I believe a politican over a scientist who went to college, studied hard, and worked in research? Sorry guys, You really need to start using your heads

Its amazing. The earth is 5 BILLION years old. But the left wants us to beleive that these last couple of decades are the most volatile weather patterns ever. Really? How they can atans behind that belief is the most stunning imaginable.

And maybe we dont know what cars the scientists drive (although it would interesting to know) but we do know that the god of manmade global warming, Al Gore, owns multiple mansions, flies private jets etc. Just the politicians and hollywood stars that deride the rest of us. Withbthe exception of Busey and Hannah (the mermaid, i forget her name) at least they areny hypocrites.

THanks...You made the point for man-made climate change. The eartth nas never had a massive climatic shift such as this unless there was an event like volcanism, solar flare, asteroid, and yes....MAN spewing carbon dixoide and fluro carbons into the atmosphere, Use your brains. You don;t park your running automobile in your garage under your house do you? Conservatives claim to be intelligent yet they let the paid-for scientists for the fossil fuel industry and their people whose pockets they sit in, the politicans tell you it';s a hoax.

You are like ocasio-cortez, too stupid to debate. How you even find the correct keys on the keyboard to hit is beyond me.

"You don;t park your running automobile in your garage under your house do you?"
lol...What? Does this make any sense as an argument in your head? I think your just trying to make the point that it is a closed area, like the earth with ozone? Right? Sorry, but my garage isnt an incredibly complex ecosystem. Very stupid anaology. Did you get it from one of the "scientists"? I hope not.

So, what is the temp increase over the last 100 years? Find that, and then youre going too tell me that, in 5 billion years, the only time the planet has seen that kind of miniscule increase has been due to volcanoes, asteroids. etc?

Not really, Wildfires are rare here. The sun seems more intense the past 10 years. I attribute that to getting older. The jet stream has definitely changed, allowing more humid air into the region and staying longer. That is probably due to some type of climate change , whether natural or man made.
I think many of the "changes" we think we see are from 24/7 media coverage and media sensationalism.

Seattle is having it's hottest summer ever. It's beating out last summer. The air is foul from the fire smoke. The air in eastern Washington is so foul that there are air pollution warnings. Several municipalities like Spokane have closed the pools to try and keep children indoors. California has the largest fire in their history. The east coast is having record rains and heat. I'm not sure how anyone can deny this.
