What do you make of it? Care to get inside the mind of Donald Trump and figure out why he picked today to do this?

Trump repeatedly attacked Sessions, one of his earliest supporters, for recusing himself from Russia investigation.

Trump is running scared now that the Dems are in control of the House. And he knows they will soon be going after his tax returns, and it will show that he's been taking money from the Russians to win the presidency.

He sure was melting down during that press conference today. He is indeed very defensive.

Oh great. Now Matthew (highly critical of the Mueller investigation) Whitaker will be overseeing it. No..I don't care to get into the mind Donald Trump.

I think Trump is going to do anything and everything he can to avoid Mueller. I can only hope justice will prevail.

Well, I think we both know that Trump wasn't going to nominate someone who thought the investigation should continue. :)

Hahahaha. I know. I just wonder if Trump has any clue how transparent he is?

Of course we did. Whether Whitaker will please Trump enough to be nominated as the permanent replacement remains to be seen...of course.

Whitaker isn't qualified to be AG. Legally, he may not even be qualified to be interim AG. He hasn't completed everything required to hold that position.

I was just reading this is Trump's leading contender; former NJ governor Chris Christie. He was voted out in disgrace after a pretty serious scandal in NJ.

He should do well with Trump.

I wasn't aware of that. What I have read though...is that Whitaker could be acting Attorney General for most of the remainder of Trump's first and hopefully last term.

Sessions was a sniveling little turd to begin with. Good riddance to the guy.

Doesn't prevent Sessions from talking and the timing of it only serves to make DJT look very, very bad if that's even possible. He no longer has the padded layer of protection and loyalty he did even 24 hours ago. That being said, I believe we'll see lots more terminations and heads-rolling by him before it's all said and and done but as a result, there will be more canaries singing their tunes than before

Judging by his mood during that press conference, I would say he knows things are not going to keep going his way, which is what matters the most with him.

Hey Pea--
I edited my comment while you responded--

and, yes, you're right. His threats and commands to his minions will no longer go unchallenged.

I'm just happy that the Dems regained partial control and will be a thorn in that miserable ****head's side.

The press conference goes to show he cannot lose anything! Someone forgot to tell this guy that a sitting president needs to have a cool demeanor while on camera.

Any other president would be happy with the results of the Senate and having the majority with the Supreme Court.
