Mostly applying to the "Straight men"...

there are quite a few who are afraid to hang out or be friends with a Gay man because people might think that they are gay.

When my son was living with us, I was not allowed to wash his underwear with my husband's underwear. And my husband is very sweet, accepting and open minded. But there must be that nugget of concern somewhere.

That's a different one. I've heard some rather fat-fetched stories. When I came out, a long time friend of mine said he wanted nothing to do with me because I lied to him. I asked him if it would ahve ever made a difference. I did appreciate his honesty because he said, " probably not" ...he didn't want people thinking he was gay, too

I don't think people can become gay by hanging around gays. But there are probably those that think it can happen. But that is quite silly. But I am sure that some don't want to hang around with gays, because they are afraid others will think they are gay.
