Actually--- yes. On several occasions. I've dog-sat on many occasions for people and the dog-sitting went from days to weeks to months while the canine and I waited patiently for the owner to get their act together. When I finally released the dog back into their care, I actually felt empathy for the dog.

What comes to mind for me are a couple of people that have the belief that dogs are meant to be outside animals. So, they get the dog and it lives in the doghouse outside. If a dog isnt going to be treated like a family member (or better ), then you shouldnt have one.

Absolutely.

Dogs are awesome and I really get upset when I literally see them tied up
I'm a French Bulldog breeder and my dogs get treated better than most people treat their children. lol

Yes, I completely agree with the above. I can't stand to see dogs outside. Either keep your dog inside with the family or don't have one.

Amen, those things shouldn't even qualify as animals.

I must say, cats are great ratters. I won't have a cat in my house

Yes. I've felt sorry for many animals, because of how their humans treated them. Not just dogs, and not necessarily because their owners are "stupid", either.
