Jake Tapper: No evidence of path to denuclearize
CNN's Jake Tapper says he is still skeptical about the North Koreans reaffirming their commitment to denuclearization, citing previous times they've made the same promise.

NK has failed to live up to it's agreements before.

And if they live up to it this time, Trump will own one of the most successful foreign policy initiatives in our history.

I don't give NK the benefit of a doubt. There haven't changed their behavior to deserve it.

Kim "reaffirmed" his commitment to the agreement *he* signed with Moon in South Korea...not agreements past NK leaders have made.

I've read many articles about how analysts are "disappointed" with the agreement, saying it is "problematic" in its lack of clarity, etc. It is a preliminary agreement, folks. All the details haven't yet been hammered out. It is the first step in the process. Could it fail? Of course. But without this necessary first step, failure was simply the status quo.

NK promised the same thing it has always promised. It has never followed through. On the other hand Trump has given Korea just what it wanted. He stopped the military exercises.

We are giving up much more than North Korea is.

Now that the protection for smaller Asian contries is being removed, what will China do?

It was their idea for the Nuclear disarmament and "ceasing of War Exercises" after all.... They have always wanted to remove the Yankee imperialistic forces from the region and by God, they did it without firing a shot. GENIOUS!!!!!

Now, let's put all out trust in CHiona and Kim Jung Un.
I'm sure South Korea and Japan are breathing a sigh of relief
