What were you really into when you were a kid?
When you were growing up, what kinds of things really had your interest?
Did that figure in to who you are as an adult?

I was into model rockets and electronics. I built a HAM radio, got my license and used it to communicate with lot's of people around the world.

I never became an astronaut or worked with NASA -but I learned a lot of physics and math doing the rocketry thing. Many principles learned I still use today - once in a while. The math of course comes in handy more often than you might think. I'm not talking the basics + - / * but algebra and trig.

I let the HAM radio thing slide away, (sigh). I think about getting back into it again every spring when storms hit.

For me it was all about sports. Played every sport every minute I could. I suppose it impacted me. I am not a super fan but still enjoy watching. And, while I no longer play any sports, I do keep myself in shape.

I got into gymnastics, even though we had no gymnastics in our school. Mostly, all I really got into in school was trouble. Had a mission in life to make HS as miserable for the teachers as it was for me. While I loved Art, and the teacher, I just couldn't get up early enough to make it to that class very often.

Classic monsters. I studied up on them like a fiend (no pun intended). I can tell you bizarre crap associated with monster lore that the average person has no idea about.

Example: Why do silver bullets kill werewolves and vampires can't see their reflection in mirrors?
Because Judas took silver to betray Christ. (Old mirrors used to have a thin layer of silver leaf to create reflection).

I loved animals. I've found a fallen baby bird that I took care of for a week, and a homeless baby bunny. A robin with a broken wing, and even a young squirrel that feel from it's nest in the tree near my house. I love helping creatures and animals in any way I can. Growing up, I REALLY wanted to be a vet. However, once I got a bit older I did a ton of volunteer work at animal shelters, the humane society and animal petshops, and I realized I have too strong of attachment to animals. I couldnt be a vet. As much as I'd love saving animals lives and curing and helping them, my heart has far too big of place for fur friends, my emotions would certainly get in the way of my job. It was hard saying goodbye to adopted animals at the shelters, even if I was only there a few days a week. (I know, I'm a big baby lol)

I'm 25 years old this summer, and I am still not 110% sure what to do with my life. I am finishing university, so I'm hoping once school is over i'll be able to get a better sense of where I wanna be, and what I want to do. Life surely gets different once you mature and grow. I'll be happy with anything, as long as it's something i'm passionate about :)

Animals. I wanted to be a Vet and when I was given a chance of a lifetime as a teen, I chose partying instead. I eventually came back to animals.
Books! Read everything I could get my hands on. Favorite subject was history which has helped me see what is happening today.

I was an outside kid. My grandparents owned about 15 acres. My cousins and friends played in the woods. My uncle bought me a horse when I was about 12. I loved riding "Apache ." Lots of fun.
