Your favorite classic biblical movie?
I can't decide between "Ben Hur" or "The Ten Commandments." They are both beautifully made movies. I love the classic biblical movies, reminds me of God's love without the hypocrisy of human beings. Also I love history. Ben Hur is probably my favorite.

The Passion of Christ, directed by Mel Gibson. Pretty historical :-)

I love that Ben Hur traveled to save his mother and sister and wanted to see them healed. Also the scene where they are healed in the end of Leprosy.

Voted: The Ten Commandments (1956)

The Ten Commandments used to air on ABC every Easter, and since it was the only channel we had at my house, it was tradition to watch it every year.

It's sad, really ... the movies the networks choose to show during the HOLY day seasons. The only thing Christmasy about nost of the programs in they **might** play carols in the distant background once or twice. And I can't remember the last time the Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, et all were shown -- probably just my bad memory but ... am I mistaken that Alice in Wonderland has supplanted religious programming at Easter?? Yep ... sad.

I managed to catch Ben Hur and The Robe at Easter. I'm pretty sure I was watching TCM. I'm not much of a watcher of movies on the Hallmark channel.

Hear ya! Hallmark is the same show repeated aired with the same plot and the same schmaltzy scenes .... all love stories terribly presented with little to no variation in emotive quality. AND the good folks always win! Just like the real world in which we live and breate.

I honestly couldn't say. We gave up on cable and satellite years ago. Just Netflix and Hulu now, and our giant movie collection. Cheaper and probably better programming selection. Though I do kind of miss my cooking channels.

I see I have some additional movies, lol!
